1. Wonder Boy in Monster World (VC - Mega Drive)
2. Secret of Mana (VC - SNES)
3. Final Fantasy IX (PS1)
4. Metroid Prime 2 (GC)
5. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
6. Blazing Lasers (TG16)
7. Banjo Kazooie (N64)
8. Panzer Dragoon (Saturn)
9. Punch Out!! (NES)
10. Mischeif Makers (N64) Rayman? Maybe?

Progress update:

Final Fantasy IX - My party's been split up. 4 went off to Oeilvert and 4 to the desert palace. I recognise the desert palace as the place I got to last time I played the game - I didn't realise I was so far in! I think I've decided to use Zidane, Eiko, Quina and Freya as my main team. Quina is proving a bit of a beast lately, with auto-life leaving him with 1 hp and his Limit Glove spell causing 9999 damage when he's at 1hp. My other guys are hitting for about 1200 :p.

Blazing Lazers - Same story different day. I always get stuck at the checkpoint after the tank boss in the boss rush. I rapidly lose my lives there. it's not much fun. :(

Panzer Dragoon - I beat this one. It's certainly a fun game, although it doesn't compare to the starfox series to me. It also fairly easy, I beat it on my 3rd playthrough. It has a few quirks to overcome to be able to beat it - your health is only mildly increased between rounds, not fully replenished, and if you die, you have to start the level from the beginning again. In addition, you start with 1 life, and have to earn the others by finishing the level with a high % of enemies shot down. It's more about shooting things quickly and also shooting down their projectiles than starfox, where dodging is important. In fact, you cant move your dragon at all when you're looking behind you or to the sides. I'm glad the game has a radar, or else it'd be really hbard to tell which directions enemies are coming from. Overall I enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to playing Zwei, which I also own.

Punch - Out!! - Just started this one, cleared the first two (easy) circuits, now the brutality begins.

Mischief makers stopped working, and I can't get it to work even after multiple cleanings, so I'm subbing it for something. As I think I said before, I considered Rayman, but I'm not so sure now, it seems a bit difficult and long (due to having to 100%) to just idly drop in there. Maybe I'll play Wario Land 2?
P.S. This forum really needs strikethrough text :(

Update on Soul Blazer:

I know I'm not very far, but I just beat the sunken and I'm really enjoying this game. I never played it much before, and honestly I don't know why. Not much of a story, but it's fun, and it works. Cheesy, but it does work. Once I get through with this summer's lineup, I think I'm going to replay Illusion of Gaia and then crack open Terranigma (which I also haven't ever played). While I could have guessed it from Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, and Legend of Zelda, action-RPGs really are my favorite genre.

Thought I'd add that I'm now on Mr.Dream in Punch-Out!!

On my first attempt at the last circuit, I lost to Bald Bull 2 (I've never passed Soda Popinski before). On my 2nd, I fell to Don Flamenco 2 (that fight really sucks), and on my 3rd, I beat it . I beat Mr.Sandman and Super Macho Man the first time I ever fought either of them. Pretty happy with that 8)

This is where I left off: the guy I was supposed to rescue in the cell had a heart attack. So I leave the room and there's a bunch of dudes having a shoot-out. Then a bunch of them shot me since I was pretty much walking into a barrage of bullets. Advice?

Thats the part i've gotten to (just a little bit further) on three seperate attempts on MGS:TS and I just cant stand the game any longer. I really dont understand the appeal of MGS.

I'm past that now. It was right after that that I kind of realized I love this game big time. First, a hostage told me that a code I needed was "on the back of a CD case." Guess where it was? On the back of the fucking MGS CD case!! So awesome.

Right now I'm stuck on the part with the lasers. I'm smoking cigarettes so that the smoke lets me see where the lasers are, but I'm not quite graceful enough in my movements to make it through yet.

Progress update:
I'm still not sure what to choose for 10. I'm leaning towards Wario Land II because I don't like Rayman much. I've not gotten any further on Final Fantasy or Blazing Lasers since I last posted, but what I have managed to do is beat Punch-Out!! 8) 8) 8) 8)

I took out Mr. Dream today, probably took me about an hour of fighting him total before I beat him, which is frankly far less than I expected. That makes it my 4th game beaten for the Snickerdoodle Summer Challenge.

I also started Mario Galaxy 2 today, I beat World 1, although I'm only at about 7 stars. I'm enjoying it well enough so far though.

I imagine either Blazing Lasers (if I get lucky) or FFIX will be the next on the list to be finished. Once I beat FFIX, I'll start on Secret of Mana, because I'm not going to play 2 RPGs at once.

Imagine if somebody only had a disc copy of MGS. That would suck. I was stuck on that part forever until I looked at the back of the case for fun months after I stopped playing.

I'll need to check that one out sometime, since I've only played Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma myself, which you know I've mentioned is pretty epic.

Have you played Crystalis on the NES also? I need to play that one too, but it definitely sounds like it fits with these kind of games.

I think Secret of Mana, Evermore, and Seiken Densetsu 3 have like the best combat system ever, I really wish there was more out there like them.
