No. If you want a good PS2 FPS, Project Snowblind and Half Life are good options.

Yikes, Project Snowblind is horrible.

Killzone 1 is one of the most broken FPS's I've ever played, glitches out the ass. I'll never forget when a drop ship somehow appeared out of nowhere and was clipping through the ground partially in one section. They were trying to do way too much on the PS2 hardware.

Red Faction 2 was horrendous as well, but the first game is really good.

I liked Killzone.. It's one of the few games that I played through twice, and I think a third time is on the way! Sometimes one forgives a game's shortcomings. That's how Deadly Premonition became one of the best sellers of this generation

I'd also recommend Red Faction. I always felt the AI was terrible, but the geomod stuff is so interesting it makes up for a lot of the game's failings.

Has anybody played Black or Kill Switch? Are they worth checking out? And there's quite a few other PC shooters that were ported, such as Doom 3.

kill.switch is a tps, not a great one at that but it did introduce the cover mechanics used in Gears of War and its ilk. As for Black, yes I can safely recommend it. Looks real nice on the PS2 too, but I read that its widescreen/PS support is iffy.

I ended up spending more time with the tech demo level in Red Faction than the actual game. They had really nice glass physics so it was fun to blow up the greenhouse, and then tunnel around with my infinite rocket launcher and satchel charges. Too bad the main game suffered from the realization that if players can tunnel everywhere they'll break your level design in half.

PS2 Half Life is an excellent port... however, it can be played with a USB keyboard and mouse.

PS2 Unreal Tournament is OK. However, it can also be played with a USB keyboard and mouse.

PS2 Deus Ex... oh wait, that can also be played with a USB keyboard and mouse.

You can teach me. :(

I hate dual-stick games, to this day I still can't play them. (Unless it's one of those bullet hell type games, but in 3D space? No chance.)

I recommend Time Splitters 2 as its quite slow paced, especially the opening level as its best played with stealth.

Great suggestions, certainly loads to grab hold off. CoD came so close to boring me of FPS's but I'm glad that it didnt

Another option, get a PS2 Smart Joy Frag Mouse and Keyboard Adaptor:
