Worst system you still own
Re: Worst system you still own
Even the worst system has something to appreciate about it. The CDI isn't much fun as a gaming console, but the multimedia experiences on it are different from almost anything else you'd find, so it's still fun to have as a novelty. The Channel F has almost nothing worth playing on it, but it's still cool to see what they were doing pre-Atari. The controllers are unique in gaming history too (for a reason). The MicroVision has an incredibly low res, and fragile LCD screen, very few games, and just a paddle and a few buttons for control. Yet it's the first handheld system gaming system with removable cartridges. Awesome.
Which is the worst? I dunno, they all have their weaknesses. I do have a HyperScan which would probably qualify as the worst. But I've never even plugged it in, nor do I have any software. So I can't say that definitively.

I hate to say it, but I absolutely agree. There's all kinds of reasons why the Saturn is a great system, but I can't afford the majority of the games I want, so i don't play it much. Same for the SNES.

I've got a MicroVision that I've never gotten to work. Not much for it in the way of games so that's pretty bad.
Saturn stuff is expensive, especially since I almost never find good games locally. It does have a lot of potential for me though.
The wii I've played with quite a bit, but it doesn't have a ton of titles that interest me.
I don't have a SNES, but the system doesn't look super interesting to me. Maybe sometime I'll look into it more though.

The Wonderswan Color. not many games for it that aren't based on some anime or adapted for the GBA. Also, I hate the cartridge design to no end. Mine in particular has dead pixels.

I wouldn't get rid of any but I have no desire to set up the Sega CD - it sits complete in its huge box on top of one of my game bookcases.
For handhelds - I'd probably move my Lynx to a good home. Little interest in playing.

Saturn is my go-to system for mid90s nostalgic fighters. Love the arcade stick and ram cart. You can get most for mid 20s tops.

My XBOX360 and NES. I can never play my 360 with peace of mind. Every time I fire it up I think "Is this it?" My NES which I've owned since it was new has the bad case of the blinkies. It takes forever just to get one game started.
