I've always wanted to start a SNES collection or maybe a Xbox 360 Cave collection, however, I can never justify it. Maybe someday I'll find a SNES in the wild for extremely cheap.

Any retro game in the wild. I have a store that's pretty local, but their prices are wavering when it comes to what they have. Sometimes they have good prices, but they are usually high/what ebay is asking.

This is DPad in New Braunfels, BTW.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

finding a store that actually sells games at ebay prices is pretty darn good in my book. most stores i go to take BIN prices and adds a multiplier to it.
if you took a shit, please put it back

I don't mean ebay deals though... like when someone puts RARE in the title it puts a buy it now on that doesn't sell for like 5 years and then gets taken down... :| However, I've heard bad reviews about Dpad but it has actually been way better than I expected... They have a boxed DC that I've looked at, and I've thought about getting it, but I'm not sure about the DC library...

Anywho, I've also had trouble finding Harvest Moon and Harvest Moon 64. Wascawy wabbits right there.

Then one day after being in Korea maybe 4 months I saw a boxed copy sitting on the shelf, but was told it was only for display and wasn't being sold. Some time passed and no more signs of it. About 2 months ago, I looked a little more carefully at a place that has tons of bare cartridges and found a loose copy of it.

I asked one seller I met online and he also noted that he hadn't seen it. Another foreigner (on another forum) that had lived in Seoul said someone told him that around the time when Sonic 2 was released there was some break down in communication between Sega and Samsung so there was limited supply. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but while doing some searches in Korean I came across a blog where a guy was showcasing his copy that he had recently received for free from another member online. It sounded like the game had been eluding him as well.

I am on the various gaming sites throughout the day just waiting and then 2 weeks ago I took a weekend trip. It was that weekend that someone sold a few Mega Drive games I hadn't yet found, of which included just the box of Sonic 2 being given away to whoever bought the other games.

The search continues
I just wanted to add that I finally tracked this one down for my collection. Now just about 40 more Korean releases to go and I'll have a full set boxed.

I was playing Alien Storm on MAME

And i realize now that I've never owned this game!

My friend had it for the Genesis.

I used to play it constantly at his house way back in the day.

I know i can probably find it online. But I have not seen a copy out in the wild ever!

lets see if I get lucky soon.

I pretty much have every system that I want to get, except one: a Sega Saturn. I missed my chance a couple years ago when someone was selling a system lot with 10 or so games for $80, and the only system I've seen in my area since then is a CIB one at a local game store for $200. I've even picked up a few games locally (Mystaria, Shining the Holy Ark) on the cheap, but haven't come across any systems. And since I don't buy retro games online ever, I guess I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled for a while longer.
Systems owned: Odyssey, Commodore 64, Apple II+, Intellivision II, Atari 2600, Leisurevision, Atari 400, Vectrex, Master System, Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, Turbografx-16, NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii U, PS1, PS2, PS3.

Dungeon Explorer II for the TG16...

Last year I had $150 to spend on a birthday gift and it just so happened that a copy went up on eBay BIN for $150, but a copy of Lords of Thunder also went up and a cheap copy of MM5, and well, you can guess which option I opted for...

It's not that i'm unhappy with my selection, but Dungeon Explorer II could've been mine!!

Anyways... if you have a copy you're looking to get rid of... PM me...

It hasn't "eluded" me per se, but whenever I've gone on eBay to buy Final Fantasy V I always get distracted and get something else instead. I finally bit the bullet and purchased it the other week, should arrive tomorrow or Monday.

I love GoldenEye 007 for the N64, but I've never owned it. I've always had friends who had it and would play their copy instead. I see it in the wild every now and then and it's always priced at $20+ so I shrug it off and say maybe next time... One day I will have it!
