Coleco Head to Head Handhelds

I know that Coleco produced these in the early 80s and were one of the very early handheld gaming devices, long before Game Boy. And I know there's got to be some handheld specialists on here that can help me out.

Well I just got two of them for free. However they're dated 2005. So obviously they aren't the originals. My question is: Are these reproductions of the originals, or are they completely new handhelds?

I believe just repros.

I imagine the game boards are tiny with less than a dozen components on them as opposed to the same somewhat janky collection of parts that most 70s electronic toys were.

I'm just wondering if it's a new game, or am I playing the same game that I would have on the original. I'm not too worried about the tech or guts inside of it.
