Super Metroid movie trailer film reel?

I know its a film reel, I've just never heard of anything Super Metroid on one. Im also really dumb, but if someone here can tell me some more info on it, I'm pretty interested...I honestly have no idea if its real or what it was used for.

It says 60 sec theatrical version. Thats definitely a commercial
