I like JSA a lot too. I have a lot of JSA, All-Star Squadron, and Infinity Inc. I even have a few of the All-Star Comics 70s issues. It was really Geoff Johns' initial run on JSA that got me into it, then I started diving into the back-issue bins.

As for favorite Green Lantern, a few years back I would have undoubtedly said Kyle Rayner. But since Geoff Johns took over the book, it's hard for me to say. But it's definetly between Kyle and Hal.

I agree that $3-4 a comic is expensive and I am getting to the point where storing them is becoming a problem since I have to give the kids bedrooms and all :D
I think I may be making the switch to digital comics in Sept when DC starts releasing digital copies the same day as the print. Keep all of your comics because if everyone else thinks like me...
I've actually been getting The Walking Dead and Invincible every month via my iPad... I said I'd never do it, but its just so convenient. I'm actually considering selling the bulk of my comic collection.
I've thought about selling mine off too (about 8 long boxes), but can't bear the thought of getting maybe $100 for them :(

My buddy used to work at a shop where they gave a flat 15 cents per book rate, and people actually did it. I'd hope they had the sense to pull the valuable ones first..
15 cents?! HOLY COW! People are morons. Even if you've got nothing to lose, you could see em for 25 cents a piece no problem and make a little more.

Geoff Johns' run was what got me started as well. I've got TPBs of the 70s All-Star Comics and (as far as I know) I've got every single comic with JSA in the title that was released afterwards. I've also got full runs of All-Star Squadron and Infinity Inc as well as some action figures. I love the sense of history/legacy in JSA books. Which is exactly why DC's idiotic reboot idea scares the hell out of me. If they mess up my JSA I'll definitely drop most of the DC titles I usually buy.
My favourite GL (except Alan Scott who's not really a GL) is probably Kyle. I can't bring myself to like Hal after they decided that Parallax was not really his fault.

Cool collection. Can't say you're missing out on much not having golden age green lantern stuff. I've read some of them and frankly I just hated it. The green lantern was followed constantly by some fat guy with a wrench. It just seemed weird.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

I just meant that I didn't have any issues that dated back to the 1930s and 1940s. I have nothing against the Golden Age Green Lantern. JSA is actually one of my all-time favorite titles, and the Golden Age Green Lantern (Alan Scott) is pretty-much their leader in all but name. I own a ton of JSA & All-Star Squadron issues starring Alan Scott. I also own a lot of the Green Lantern Corps Quarterly comic series from the 90s, which featured a lot of Alan Scott. I didn't include them in the pics because none of them are really key issues as Green Lantern goes.

And he has an awesome costume. I especially loved the modernized 90s-costume he wore when he was going with the name "Sentinel" for a short-while:

but the classic is pretty cool, too:

My full collection is MUCH larger. I just pulled out the key stuff from it and took pics of that.

Let's see what you've got.

Haha well if that's the case, than I probably don't hold a candle to yours but I'll post pics if you'd like. It's still a lot of stuff and probably the most dominant series with my figures.

Okay here we go. Here are some figures, trades, and other miscellaneous items.

Image
Hal Jordan mug, custom cast and painted Guy Gardner mini bust, and Hal coin bank. The bust I've seen before on eBay twice. The second time I bought it. Not sure if there are anymore. Was told it was made from a fan made mold.

Image
Various pins including two fan made ones. The mini one with Guy and Tora holding up a cake was given to me for my birthday from an artist friend. :D

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image
Commissioned mini sketch books with the first page done as the cover of Tora and Guy. Will be filling these up with art of each character from different artists at conventions.

Image

Image
Stack of some Green Lantern trades.

Image
Stack of JLI trades because of Guy Gardner. And because JLI is amazing anyhow.

Image

Image

Image

Image
Commissioned piece that I framed.

Image
Converse Green Lantern edition chucks.

Image
Fan made Green Lantern Corps shirt styled after Hello Kitty. :D

Image
One of the Subway lunch totes.

Image

Image

Image
One of the official licensed DC Green Lantern custom rings, styled like a class ring.

Image
It says "The Emerald Warrior" around the wrist band.

Image

So in case you can't tell, Guy Gardner is my favorite. ;p

I will go throw my stacks and long boxes tomorrow (most of my comics are there and not in trades), right now I gotta go to bed!
