Yeah, that's one of the few really big ones from that gen I could think of that wasn't on the N64.isiolia wrote:Medal of Honor maybe? Popular at any rate.

another "few big ones" that wasn't on the N64 was the Street Fighter Alpha series.Ack wrote:Yeah, that's one of the few really big ones from that gen I could think of that wasn't on the N64.isiolia wrote:Medal of Honor maybe? Popular at any rate.

Killer Instinct Gold, unless you deliberately didn't include that. Blast Corps maybe. Pilotwings 64. Starfox 64...probably several others that were simply lumped under Nintendo first party/Rare produced games.mas wrote: If I am missing any let me know

Your forgetting the best game ever made for the N64:isiolia wrote:Killer Instinct Gold, unless you deliberately didn't include that. Blast Corps maybe. Pilotwings 64. I actually bought that for a friend of mine.
He was sick. I bought a copy of that game, and carefully packed it in a small tupperware container with a note. "It could be worse. You could be playing this. Get well soon".
He still has it.

Yeah, that explains Robotron X. Don't know why Robotron 64 came out so well in comparison.DinnerX wrote:Wasn't that game delayed for a super long time? I just assumed it'd be bad.Hatta wrote:The game did get ports to the PSX and PC as "Robotron X", but it's vastly inferior. Get Robotron 64, you won't be sorry.
Then check out the PC. It's just another platform. It's not like the PC is some other thing that can't be compared to any other platform.Ack wrote:The thing is for FPS in that console generation is that you really couldn't. At least not high quality FPS titles worth playing on consoles.
My argument is that it's not worth buying an N64 just for Goldeneye, because we all have PCs and there are excellent late 90s FPSs on the PC. Goldeneye doesn't particularly stand out.
Robotron 64 on the other hand is a pretty unique experience, there aren't that many 3d multidirectional shooters. Cannon Spike is the only other one that comes to mind. To me, it's uniqueness and excellent game play make this a must own. It's worth buying an N64 for this game alone.
Of course Goldeneye is still one of the best games on the system, and if you own an N64 you should have it. I just think Robotron 64 doesn't get enough recognition.
