Goldeneye aged pretty well imo, it is still a lot of fun to play. Killer Instinct Gold is supposed to be a good fighting game.

Waverace. Snowboard Kids. Diddy Kong Racing. F-zero X. Beetle Adventure Racing. And Iggy's wrecking balls if you want something weird.

Wetrix.

IMO, Goldeneye is almost unplayable for me. :| The controls are what get me. Why didn't they stick with just the stick for movement and looking? I don't get it.... it also makes me a little scared to get other FPS's on this system... :(
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

It's hard to explain what I mean. I'm not sure how. Looking up/down is hard, and I have hell doing any good when aiming when there are large amounts of enemies... is Perfect Dark controlled the same way?

Yes. Although both games have many control options. Some even let you use two controllers to aim and shoot at the same time.

My short list of must-haves:

Mario Kart 64
Super Mario 64
Super Smash Bros.
Banjo-Kazooie
Banjo-Tooie
Goldeneye
Perfect Dark
F-Zero X
The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

There are a ton of other great titles as well.

Ooookaaay... Looking up and down is useless most of the time and aiming is kinda automatic.

And Perfect Dark controls a lot like Goldeneye. Which is a good thing.

I guess the only advice I can give is to just play the game a lot and get used to the control scheme.

Conker's Bad Fur Day is a solid title, and impressive for what they pull out of the system. Killer Instinct Gold is the only home version of KI2, which may be appealing if you're a fighting game fan.

Hmm, must haves...

Fighting
Killer Instinct Gold
Super Smash Bros
Mortal Kombat Trilogy

I would also suggest checking out Flying Dragon. It's an enjoyable game that tends to be the fighter fan's "Hidden Gem" of the console. There are actually far more fighting games on the console than people realize, but many of them are considered to be of lesser quality.

Racing
Mario Kart 64
Wave Race 64
Diddy Kong Racing (I'm not a fan, but some folks swear by it)

Star Wars Episode 1 Racer is a good one that shouldn't be overlooked, especially if you're a Star Wars fan.

FPS
GoldenEye 007
Perfect Dark
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil
Doom 64

I'm a big fan of the Hexen port, but that's because 4 player multiplayer on one TV in that game was great. The second James Bond FPS on the console is also supposed to be quite good.

Platformer
Super Mario 64
Banjo-Kazooie
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Banjo-Tooie

Some folks enjoyed Donkey Kong 64 and Yoshi's Story. The Castlevanias on the console tend to be derided, but there is at least one fan on here.

RPG
Paper Mario

Ok, this genre is really sparse, but Ogre Battle 64 is solid, and while Quest 64 has problems, I liked it.

Sports
Mario Tennis
1080 Snowboarding
NFL Blitz (awesome)

Any of the wrestling games by AKI are worth looking into.

As for others, there's of course both Legend of Zelda games, Jet Force Gemini, Blast Corps, Space Station Silicon Valley, Bangai-O, Star Fox 64, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire, Rayman, Resident Evil 2, Pilotwings 64, and more. You should check out games like the two Mystical Ninja titles which made it to the United States.
