Is anyone here from the georgia 'area'?

I'm tired of pissing away time and trying to get people I know to get on board. I want to make a short film. I've been sitting on a script for one for over 2 years now. I think I've found someone who can play the lead role.

Georgia was recently ranked #5 in states for filmmaking. Yet finding groups or connections in that field seems overly difficult.

I know we have a few members who've made movies/shorts/etc.

I'd say that I was in the Georgia area, except that I've never been within 400 miles of the place.

I remembered when Russia bombed Georgia. Nothing happened in the state of Georgia.

Anything. Mostly actors. Just connections in general. This is pretty much a no-budget movie. I should have put that in the first post. Any money going into the production will be for props/costumes/etc. I have all the video equipment I need.

I really just want to make something. I would like it to be the script that I have, but if I couldn't find enough resources, I will make something smaller scale. I also have a few ideas for 5 minute movies, as well as a mock trailer for a full length screenplay I'm writing.

I just figure that there are other people in my situation who want to make something. Just trying to figure out how to connect with them.

Also, where in Georgia?
