First they announce the WII U, now this LOVELY news
Several days after fans took to Twitter, Facebook, Amazon.com and YouTube to campaign for the release of Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower, Nintendo has finally issued an official comment. Perhaps to no one's surprise, Nintendo of America still has no plans to bring any of the games to North America.
Replying to Operation Rainfall's (the official name of the fan-driven campaign) Twitter account, Nintendo's statement simply reads as follows:
"Thanks for being such incredible fans! Unfortunately, there continues to be no plans for NOA to release these 3 games right now."
A slightly longer statement has been posted to Facebook:
"Thank you for your enthusiasm. We promised an update, so here it is. We never say "never," but we can confirm that there are no plans to bring these three games to the Americas at this time. Thanks so much for your passion, and for being such great fans!"
Nintendo has not responded to IGN's requests for comments from or a brief interview with Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.
Nintendo had previously promised a statement to IGN, though has seemingly opted for more direct communication. This also marks the first time Nintendo has officially confirmed that Xenoblade, previously known as Monado, would not be released in North America.
The sad truth of the matter is that the majority of the folks who know about and have interest in these titles would steal them at release anyway. These are not mainstream reach-every-household games.

QUIT YA BITCHIN!
While I wouldnt put it in such a flame baiting way. I must say a part of me agrees, by and large US gamers get much more localisations then we outside the NA region.
I think US gamers need to face facts that they are on average will be seeing less localisations then they have in the past.
Just be thankful that you have NIS, Altus, Aksys and Xseed

Yes I know Australia had has it TERRIBLE for a long time. I would be heavily importing if I lived over there!
Sure the US has gotten a lot more games over here than other countries off and on in the past, but it's almost not quite the fact that we're not getting these games that bothers me most, it's Nintendo's attitude. Those two quotes above in Bradtemple87's post sum it up in themselves. "Thanks for being fans, but we don't give a shit" pretty much.

EXACTLY, I don't think I should have to mod my wii or buy an import to play the last story. I mean, look at who produced the damn game!
