Video Game "Look what I found"
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Just visited one thrift store today - got Max Payne 2, No One Lives Forever (loved the PC version, hopefully this one is as good), Gun and Battlefield 2 for the PS2, Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles, SoulCalibur and Slave Zero for the Dreamcast and Mega Man 3 for the NES. Cost me $40 all together, everything (except MM3) was complete in box.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Figured I'd pop in and post my two most recent purchases...
-In one of my LGS, I stumbled across a complete Genesis copy of The Lost Vikings. It was going for 14.99, but thanks to a 'buy 1 used game, get a second for 1/2 price' I was able to pick it up for $7.50 alongside a $20 copy of Borderlands.
-I also landed a Saturn copy of Megaman X4 (U-NTSC) in an eBay auction yesterday. The game is complete (case/manual/foam brick), and from several pics and tests the item looks to be in fantastic shape. Buy it Now price: $52.99; not bad considering the average price I see US Saturn MMX4's go for is usually in the $65-$70 range.

You might have overpaid a little bit but it's a great game and at the end of the day that's all that mattersAznKhmerBoi wrote:I got this the other day, so is $50 fair for chrono trigger just the cart?

My pickups today:
I went to a garage sale that had an ad posted on craigslist that said "vintage nintendo and sega games"
Here's what I got for $20 total:

GENESIS:
X-Men 2 Clone Wars (which is apparently a mega value) -CIB
Castlevania Bloodlines - CIB
I don't have a Genesis but I'm planning on getting one soon (just waiting for the right deal on CL). Still, couldn't pass up Bloodlines for around 3 bucks.
NES:
Track & Field (Never start this game up before posting on Racketboy, unless you're a really big fan of the Chariots of Fire theme song)
Dr. Mario
Spy vs. Spy
Castlevania

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I keep picking up SNES games when I should be buying more GB/GBC games. Oh well. :p
I decided to try out this classic game shop outside the metroplex since I had business out there anyhow. It was alright although they overpriced the really popular/mainstream stuff. For example they wanted $25 for Super Mario World (SNES), just the cart (at varying conditions). I was always under the impression that game could be found for about $12 or less in most places. It was a little annoying that they didn't have price tags on anything either, they had to "look it up". My past experiences have shown me that this usually means "size the person up and guess what they'd pay for it" and nothing was actually written down, but hey maybe they actually have a system - who knows. And they hardly had any GB/GBC games!
Regardless, the guy was really nice and it seemed to be a family run business (I think grandpa was there and the guy and girl were his grand kids). So I decided to buy at least something, and walked out with two SNES games - Starfox and Earth Defense Force. I can't say I'll make the effort to drive out there again in the future though, I'll probably just stick to MTC and the Internet. :/
Speaking of MTC, I swung by the one in that area on the way back home. I had never been to that location since it's so far from home. Picked up two game there - Biometal and Ultraman. I got Ultraman mostly for giggles (I know it's bad) and because I like tokusatsu. Plus it was cheap! ;D

Starfox (SNES) - $8 (originally $10, he let me buy 2 for $16)
Earth Defense Force (SNES) - $8 (originally $10, he let me buy 2 for $16)
Biometal (SNES) - $5
Ultraman (SNES) - $3
MTC is starting their 4th of July sale this Friday - buy 2 get 1 free, so I'm going to try to get some deals at my local one. Be sure to hit up your local Movie Trading Company this weekend if you have one for possible deals!
