Re: Have you ever thrown out a game?
Bad boots are worth throwing out, but it always saddens me when I hear about people who literally grabbed their BRAND NEW WII and dumpstered it because the didnt like it. I mean, REALLY?! I promise to you all, if you have a game that you do not feel its worth keeping, I will take it in as my own and rehab it in my sanctuary for misfit games. I am actually close to 1000 or so.

Re: Have you ever thrown out a game?
When I was very very young like 14yrs old,I ollied (Skateboard trick) on the screen trucks first on my Game Gear with one of the "Oasis" games in it.Because I didnt like the means of which I obtained it.There was this rich girl who had a crush on me that would give me her parents money,my friends being the peers that they were condoned this behavior "thought I was the man and shit".After a few game purchases later (colums, sonic) I felt this was wrong thus dicountinung being friends with the girl and Tony Hawking my Game Gear.
Also on another note during my rebelious teen years,me and a friend frisbee'd Suikoden II up my street with several other ps1 games.Yes thats offically one less Suikoden II in the wild.
Then one time my sister came in the house letting me know there was Magic the gathering cards dropped all over the street out side.I did in fact play MTG me and a friend dig thru the box and there the rarest cards ever in the game Black Lotus,Moxes you name it.Well when my sister came back in the house she left the front door opened and the guys where backtracking where they dropped the cards.I happen to know the guys from local MTG tournaments. So the good karma for both ends.
Summarizing this post-
Dont hate me cause I destroyed a Game Gear.
Hate me for destroying Suikoden II..Got back into retro collecting about 2yrs ago thus learning how much it was worth.I hate me for it (even if I paid $35 used for it)
As for the MTG story learned a adolesent lesson about Karma, could of been rich but rather work for it.Wasnt in my cards

No.
But once when I was 16(ish) I did beat the chips out of a copy of NFL Blitz.

I'm a whorish hoarder, I can't throw anything out.
I once rescued some PSone games in which I found on the street which looked like someone had been frisbeeing. Tough bastards, they still work to this day.TEKTORO wrote:Also on another note during my rebelious teen years,me and a friend frisbee'd Suikoden II up my street with several other ps1 games.Yes thats offically one less Suikoden II in the wild.

I'm with you on this. I promise you that one man's trash is another man's favorite game. Throwing a game or console out is so stupid to me. Jeez I have trouble with throwing out BROKEN games and systems.weaponepsilon wrote:Bad boots are worth throwing out, but it always saddens me when I hear about people who literally grabbed their BRAND NEW WII and dumpstered it because the didnt like it.
