I usually go to amazon,
1 stop for everything possible
but I see there are a lot more stores: walmart, buy.com, Sears, Target,Circuit City(which I thought went bankrupt?), also ebay.
Are they all the same basically, or are there advantages over each other?
I know ebay is a bid system, but in the end the price would probably match that of other used products on amazon.
I also noticed that , just about whatever product u want new or used can be found on amazon u don't have to hunt for it on ebay, except for Misc. items like stuff you build on your own , signatures, etc
Where do you do your online shopping?
Re: Where do you do your online shopping?
eBay is the one I use. Mostly because most of those big American sites don't ship to Australia or they have a crappy Australian versions that's not worth my time.

Amazon almost all of the time, then sometimes eBay.

Amazon for the most part. I use eBay now and again, but not like I used to.
Older. Not wiser.

Amazon for everything I can find there. Ebay for old stuff I can't (and certain import stuff). There's a few smaller sites I also shop at that carry some niche items.

Yeah, Amazon for me most of the time as well. I've had two or three occasions on ebay where people sold me something that was completely unlike the way they described it. I've never had that problem with sellers on Amazon. I also like woot.com, especially during the woot offs.

For games, I'll check TradeNGames first because their prices are competitive and I can see the item and know it works well.
Then Amazon because it's easier than eBay.
Then eBay if I can't find something elsewhere.
For general-purpose shopping:
Amazon (a lot on a monthly basis)
eBay
Newegg
Sometimes Esty for crafty gift items

Amazon and reliable members here. California is in the process of passing legislation to Tax online sales such as Amazon. I wonder if PayPal transactions would get affected.

Yep. They actually just passed the law yesterday. And in response, Amazon terminated every CA based affiliate they had, myself included. I don't blame Amazon. I am more upset at CA for passing more fucking tax laws.CRTGAMER wrote:Amazon and reliable members here. California is in the process of passing legislation to Tax online sales such as Amazon. CA state sales tax is something absurd like 10%. So if we have to pay that for online sales, it makes them a lot more expensive.
Thankfully for me, I buy mostly from Japan and Hong Kong.
