*adds Capcom to boycott list*
Oh, Capcom was already on there. Well, this is still very good to know. I will be extra careful not to bother with this game, new or used.

Capcom used to be one of the very best gaming companies. Nowadays they are nothing more than an example of what not to do. Fuck you, Capcom.

I'm also upset at Nintendo for allowing this in the first place. And if they must allow it, there needs to be a much larger warning on the box, so gamers know to steer clear.

The video game industry continues to worsen...

I don't even know what to say. It's too ridiculous for me to comprehend.

Thank god this didn't happen when Capcom was making good games or I would probably be real pissed.

What the hell Capcom? What a bunch of shit. And then, when this tanks, they will blame piracy and the usual suspects, because the suits don't have to accept they are wrong.

The videogame industry becomes worse and worse by seconds.

I'm not sure if Nintendo really has any control over what their 3rd party game companies use for DRM on the 3DS. Nevertheless, it does make me wary about buying a 3DS now. The Resident Evil games were some of the releases I was interested in that would make me consider purchasing a 3DS, but those are off the map now unless this one-save thing is taken away.

When Capcom tried to pull some other DRM crap with the PC version of Super Street Fighter IV AE though, they took it out after hearing countless complaints after the DRM was announced. That DRM only allowed you to play a gimped version of SSFIVAE if you were not connected online through GFWL. You now can play the complete single player and local-multi whether you are online or not.

^You'd think after reactions like that towards ridiculous DRM schemes they'd know better than to try and pull that sort of shit AGAIN.

Considering almost every worthwhile creative mind at capcom has left by now, I don't think boycotting them at this point would be any real loss.

I wonder if after you beat the game it let's you play through in a +version of the game. While that is still rubbish, it's better than one shot one kill so to speak.
Also I'm sure that someone will find a way around this. Should someone have to. Absolutely not.

Oh and does anyone here own any cps2 or cps3 hardware? While not the exact same it was another capcom scheme to keep pirates at bay. All that did was make people's boards die after x amount of years and didn't stop pirates from flashing roms and making bootlegs.

Btw, why are so many folks already mad at capcom? I'm not familiar with any other crazy actions on their part, other than whoring out SF4, but that's nothing new.

As long as Nintendo licenses games for its system, it has veto power.
