Well he couldn't think of his own shtick, if that tells us anything. It must be frustrating to be both ambitious and dense. No wonder he's so irate!

ROFLMAO You've got a point  .

One reviewer you guys should check out is JewWario, he is one of the few Blistered Thumbs members that I do watch whenever I get the chance, I like him because he covered something that is rarely been covered and thats import games, it actually help me get me into importing games, plus he seems like a real nice guy in person. I also like his Mario Monologue videos.

I also like the guys from farfromsubtle, I have been a fan of them since the days in Newgrounds, I like there Video Games Awesome series because it just seems like a couple of guys just playing games together...the simple things and the best thing about it is how unscripted they are, they are like natural reactions.

I had forgotten all about the blandness that is the irate gamer damn this thread for reminding me of him

He might know a bit about editing but really adding sprites and green screen effects to video is not something to really be proud of it's pretty standard stuff if you've taken some time messing around with editing software. Besides of which none of these effects he uses actually add to the show they are distracting.

There is absolutely nothing of interest going other than dry wikipedia information about the game and some half assed attempts at getting pissed of about some minor inconvenience.

And the cuts where he is using the controller does he even know how they operate at all ? or is that kinda the point he is supposed to be overacting ?

To add even more blandness why not add boring guest character each with no character and no wit either. And the acting oh the glorious boring unenthusiastic way the irate gamer and the guest trade lines is truly a treat.

Some of these arguements might also be applied to the avgn but unlike this bland piece of crap he actually makes something worth watching even though as i said it has been getting worse but it will never be as bad as the irate.

I found his videos hilarious when I was 12, but the formula has become stale. I still enjoy watching his videos somewhat. His film reviews are a lot better than the AVGN videos, the Death stalker reviews are hilarious. Much better than that unbearable manchild the Nostalgia Critic.

So anymore recommendations for review videos? I especially liked Happy Video Game Nerd's reviews as he goes over the history etc. A lot of the suggestions here are actually pretty interesting to watch overall.

Other than him, so far I know of PeteDorr, HappyConsoleGamer, farfromsubtle, gamester81, JewWario, InecomCompany, and ClanOfTheGrayWolf.

The Game Historian.

Doesn't release many videos but what he has out is all pretty solid. He's part of the crew at retrowaretv.com
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Now that I think about it AVGN is the reason I tried the Castlevania series and the Ninja Gaiden series.

He always calls LJN games shit. I wonder if he ever played Maximum Carnage? A great LJN game.

I haven't seen much from AVGN, but I have to say that video is classic. Always brings a smile to my face. Honestly though, is there anyone out there better than Yahtzee?

I don't like Yahtzee that much because:

1.- He hates the Wii. A lot.
2.- He always feeds PC elitists with stuff like saying they are the master race.
3.- He hated Siren: New Translation
