Agreed. They've all been pretty horrible, save for the Battletoads episode.

I just keep hoping one day that they will peel back the plastic, open the box, and then an alien face hugger will launch out and wrap its spiney legs around their head while it invades their mouth.

As it stands though, every box opening has had exactly what I would expect inside of it. A box, some plastic, a manual, the new item, and a whole lot of boring.

You know, it'd be fun to make a seemingly generic unboxing video, but with a crazy surprise ending.

AVGN never appealed to me. I think Yahtzee is great, but AVGN manages to make the same points without being nearly as funny. I don't think it helps that usually he's complaining about bad design decisions or technical limitations in very old games; it's like complaining that the polio kid can't keep up with you in a footrace.

That's kind of the joke though, the original concept revolved around, "Why is this guy getting so mad about these old video games?"

I like AVGN. But I LOVE James Rolfe. My two favorite things ever are old video games and horror movies, and he's extremely well-read on both. His dick and fart jokes aren't as juvenile as they seem, the way he combines his vulgarities is often quite poetic imho. He often likens his film to Wayne's World, I can't wait to see it.

I watch Talking Classics religiously. Nathan's blend of awkward humor, character acting, Tom Green-esque stunts, and most importantly - video games, in those videos, is nothing short of brilliant. His delivery is top-notch.

CGR is probably my favorite though, just because I'm usually looking for more than a laugh. Even so, Mark has a bit of a corny sense of humor of his own. CGRundertow is great too, especially Derek's reviews.

They're all very entertaining to me as a gamer, CGR would probably be the most influential - seeing as those vids contain actual reviews.

Influenced me? Not at all. I haven't even been influenced to try Rolling Rock brand beer.

His "reviews" are amusing, but that's all they're for. He's playing a character. I think he's even admitted to giving scathing reviews to games he actually likes in real life, strictly for the humor value.
