MAKE IT SO!

I'm a tad confused on this myself, since my HDTV doesn't have S-Video would it be pointless to get the box, or is that where the bypass comes in?CRTGAMER wrote:The world is coming to an end! Gameboy Guru noise got a Playstaion, now looking at getting a Dreamcast!![]()
Get the VGA box. It has the bypass Composite/S-Video output for the Dreamcast games that do not support VGA. Most DC games do work with VGA but you mind find one you like that doesn't.
Your TV has composite RCA inputs though, right?Xeogred wrote:I'm a tad confused on this myself, since my HDTV doesn't have S-Video would it be pointless to get the box, or is that where the bypass comes in?CRTGAMER wrote:The world is coming to an end! I feel like you want to have the box just in case you ever to encounter a game you want to play that isn't VGA compatible. I suppose you could always just keep your composite cables and switch them out too.Xeogred wrote:I'm a tad confused on this myself, since my HDTV doesn't have S-Video would it be pointless to get the box, or is that where the bypass comes in?CRTGAMER wrote:The world is coming to an end! Then that's why you want the box! S-video is just one option it provides, alongside composite, in case you have games that don't work with VGA.Xeogred wrote:Indeed.flamepanther wrote:Your TV has composite RCA inputs though, right?Xeogred wrote:I'm a tad confused on this myself, since my HDTV doesn't have S-Video would it be pointless to get the box, or is that where the bypass comes in?
The box has a bypass S-Video and Composite connection so you can use RCA Composite and Audio cables. There is a tiny slide switch on the VGA Box that shorts a couple pins internally that puts the Dreamcast in VGA mode.Xeogred wrote:I'm a tad confused on this myself, since my HDTV doesn't have S-Video would it be pointless to get the box, or is that where the bypass comes in?CRTGAMER wrote:The world is coming to an end!
