I call the assembly of the racketeers.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It's a fun game. Not as great as the Mega Drive sidescrollers, but still a fun game. It got a lot of height, cause honestly it's so different, it could have been its own thing.

BTW <3 to all the Sonic love here :D. Can't wait for a Sonic together Retro. Ok Norris, you are absolved of your crimes, for getting people to ask for a Sonic themed together Retro.

And 1 more vote for Sonic 3 and Knuckles

Yup, I am now playing Sonic SMS and have gotten further than before. It's definitely brutal, a lot more pits, no rings on every boss battle!? Damn. It's pretty awesome though.

i played the sonic generations demo today (they only have classic sonic right now). I enjoyed my time and the gameplay is solid enough. there is NO homing thankfully and is plays like an old sonic game. my only problem with it is at times sonic would go way too fast for his own good....but there was a lot more parts where i would be able to actually platform like good old sonic compared to most recent sonic games where it's just really full speed ahead. over all im excited for this so far...but i want to try the 3d parts too. im curious if they will be fun. i was ok with the two adventure games (despite buggy situations) and if it's anything like that, ill be happy. may be the first sonic game i get in years.

Just wanna say I also just played the Generations demo.

Freaking loved it.

You know all of the ways that Sonic 4 didn't feel like classic Sonic? All fixed.

Sonic doesn't uncurl when he rolls up a hill.
Momentum is maintained. No weird stopping in midair.
No sluggish movements.
Jumping feels just like the classics.

This really feels like 16 bit Sonic.

Edit 2: Wrong again. Never mind, I'm an idiot. The spin dash is exactly the same. Which is awesome.

One little detail I thought was cool: they preserved all of Sonic's idle animations from all three of the genesis games. He checks his watch like Sonic 1, points forward like in 3, and eventually lays down and glares at you like 2. Thought it was neat.

I seriously have no complaints. I'm even more excited for Generations now than I was before. I think this is gonna be a great game.
