Coleco Vision AV cord
Does anyone know if a NES RF will work on a Coleco Vision? Or have any other way to hook up a Coleco Vision to a modern TV?

I cant be too sure but I think the atari one works for it too
If you have no cable, just tear a red and white audio cable and use one of them. Hook one up to the console and the other to the RF box. then get the adapter to put it on your tv.

THIS. I just bought one of these myself.
Re: Coleco Vision AV cord
I suggest driving (or calling first) to your local radio shack for one of those instead of ordering one. For the same price (if not cheaper) you pay at most retro stores you can get a better quality one, usually gold plated too. Radio Shack part #278-276
Re: Coleco Vision AV cord
I use this for consoles that only have a lone RCA input on them.
+
Radioshack Product # 278-290
Plug that into the console then use a good piece of quad shielded coaxial cable. Since these consoles output audio and video on the same line you want as much shielding as possible. More consoles can benefit from this way of connecting than the way others have described. The Atari 7800, Intellivision, and Famicom can all be connected this way. It sounds like the Colecovision connects this same way.
Using the other type of connector is your only option with consoles like the Atari 2600 that have the RCA cable hard wired. So you use that other connector at the TV end, but the quality is lower. There is no reason for consoles that have the RCA port on them, to use a piece of low quality, poorly shielded RCA cable then convert it to an F connection at the TV anyway.

I've tried the NES RF adapter, and it doesn't work, for some reason. I can confirm that Atari and Radio Shack adapters work well.
THAT is what I use for mine, however.Opa Opa wrote:Plug one of these into your television...

Indeed, I tried the NES RF box with my 2600 once and barely got a picture at all.flamepanther wrote:I've tried the NES RF adapter, and it doesn't work, for some reason. I can confirm that Atari and Radio Shack adapters work well.
