I envision some sort of awesome point and click adventure game with voice acting from the movie and maybe branching paths.
I'd be down for any Sam Spade story to be adapted into a game, especially the early radio serials. Sam Spade (Both the Bogart version and Howard Duff) was the man.
AWESOME. But dont stop there, make a generic Point and Click engine (or use SCUMM, 2.5d, or Telltale), and port the majority of stories into games. Episodic radio and short stories would be perfect for episodic gaming. Sam Spade, Sherlock Holmes, Aresne Lupin, even Peroit and Marple would be perfect. Think of it as one part Broken Sword, one part Fate of Atlantis, but with better voice acting and monthly releases.
Ohh I need to stop thinking.
Edit:
So I didnt stop, Dr Who could be made into point and clicks the same way. All of the Dr Who games thus far are terrible (the episodic ones from a couple years ago on the pc are the only decent ones, the DS one is a bad Layton with only a dozen puzzle types and the Wii one is just badbad).
Edit 2:
If copyright expiration is still 70 years in the US, well the Bogart Maltese Falcon becomes public domain October 3rd.
