Why is Chrono Trigger part of FF Chronicles?

Final Fantasy Anthology is not a NA exclusive, it was released in PAL zones as well, however it had IV and V in it rather than V and VI, VI had its own release in PAL zones on the PS1. Chrono Trigger was a no show again (It wasn't released on the SNES either in PAL Zones).

Oh, my mistake. I mainly meant that it wasn't released in Japan since Final Fantasy Collection covered the SNES games. I didn't know it was released in PAL zones with IV and V. That's interesting.

in retrospect they could have advertised CT better, since that's now regarded as on of the best RPG"s ever (it is my nr 1 ^^)

I'm 9 hours in so far, and personally I like FFIV better.

oh I said early on in the Summer thread that loading times don't bother me. Seriously. Maybe I'm just more patient than others.

I keep hearing CT loading times take forever on ps1. HOLD it ! What do people have to say when its played on ps2/ps3 with these options "smooth" and "Fast CD"?

still obvious load times.

It's noticeable when you get into battles, the entire game freezes for a few seconds before the battle actually starts

FF5 wasn't translated before (I don't think) it was released with 6 on PS1.

Not by Square. There were already fan translated patches for the SNES/SFC ROM by then though. I was in the ROM hacking/translation scene around that time.
