Oh, my mistake. I mainly meant that it wasn't released in Japan since Final Fantasy Collection covered the SNES games. I didn't know it was released in PAL zones with IV and V. That's interesting.

yeah the various PS1 releases across regions are very varied.

as many others, I wondered about this as well

in retrospect they could have advertised CT better, since that's now regarded as on of the best RPG"s ever (it is my nr 1 ^^)

oh I said early on in the Summer thread that loading times don't bother me. Seriously. Maybe I'm just more patient than others.

I keep hearing CT loading times take forever on ps1. HOLD it ! What do people have to say when its played on ps2/ps3 with these options "smooth" and "Fast CD"?

still obvious load times.

It's noticeable when you get into battles, the entire game freezes for a few seconds before the battle actually starts

Not by Square. There were already fan translated patches for the SNES/SFC ROM by then though. I was in the ROM hacking/translation scene around that time. 8)
