Don't know if I am hardcore or not, but my right thumb is bigger than my left thumb due to SF2 on SNES. To this day, it still is and I can't do anything to even it out.

When Mario Party first came out and had the mini-games where you rotate the control stick all of my friends and myself had huge blisters and callouses on our spinning hands. One friend even had his hand slip while rotating and tore a huge piece of skin off down his wrist. about 5 or 6 inches long. We went through like a dozen controllers between the 3 of us in just a few months. We learned after a while that those yellow rubber gloves for doing dishes work really good to protect your hand and they stick to the joystick so you dont have to worry about slipping. All are moms got pissed off that there gloves kept dissapearing and we probably looked pretty gay playing Mario Party with yellow gloves on.

As for video taping games.... One time my mom was taping a soap opera and I didnt know so I plugged in my Sega and changed the channel. Later I got grounded because my mom didnt wanna watch me play Sonic 2 for 3 hours. plus I wasnt supposed to be playing at the time I was supposed to do homework or chores or something. I got busted and she had proof.
