I have never seen auto detecting switches local to be honest, but it does not bother me all too much to have to push a button. All my switches will be changed shortly as I am upgrading all my cables to the best cables for each console.

Is there a reason for redundant systems? ex wii/gamecube and psx/ps2

The Gamecube has a Gameboy Player attached to it, so it is not redundant at all. The PS1 is chipped (While my PS2 is soft modded) so it can play import PS1 games.

Nothing Redundant about any of it.

Beautiful setup! Agree, each console has its own unique capabilities. The PS2 can load PS1 games faster but does not support the PSX cart port. The PSX is also easier to mod chip for PS1 imports. The PS2 can handle PS2 imports thru HDAdvance/HDLoader.
