it's made by PDP, who understand can be pretty hit or miss. Though it is licensed by Sony. I saw one at GameStop and it lets you feel the d-pad through the packaging. It has a really nice clicky feel to it. And I kind of like that it's wired (if it's not bluetooth, then wired is best). Anyway, curious if anyone has one/has thoughts?
That does look cool, though I'm not sure how effective it would be since I've never used any third party controllers on any console before. I don't have any way to compare is what I mean.
Though I must say, from the picture you posted, I don't see a d-pad anywhere. Or a right stick for that matter (Though obviously one isn't needed for fighters). Is the d-pad on the back of the controller or something? Also, how much did it cost?
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.
fight pads don't have the left or right analog sticks. They are made with the sole intention of playing .... fighting games!
I have the MadCatz wireless SF4 pad now, which I actually like a lot. I'm interested in this though because (A) it's wired, which is very reliable for online play and (B) the clicky d-pad so cool feeling. Reminds me of like, NGPC or something. Y'know? Seems an interesting feature.
I have one of those. The joystick is spectacular [I like it because I am a huge fan of the Neo Geo Pocket, and I wanted those controls on a console]. My only complaints are that the buttons, while low enough to the base of the controller to allow for quick commands in fighting games, do not have as good of a tactile feel to them, and feel a bit cheap. Other than that, it is a great controller, and I enjoy it.
