I've been waiting patiently for some input and you've delivered even more than I was hoping for.

I love reading comparing/contrasting on similar games and or it's contemporaries. Been wondering about the 3 Capcom games for some years.

Anyways, I'll have to give God Hand a try some day. I'm pretty forgiving of games as well, so I'm sure I'd enjoy it. The way I figure, if you can take something for what it is (disregarding hype and expectation), you're rarely all that disappointed.

I do want to try Street wise some day too though, if only because I heard Cammy makes a cameo in it (although why a Cammy fan would play it just to beat her up, I'm not too sure).

I feel about the same way. I like checking out similar games and seeing how one did things better/worse then the other. Going in without any expectations has often yielded the most pleasant surprises.

I just youtubed it. She does appear and I completely missed it somehow. That's irritating... It's definitely not a great game, but I had fun with it. I'm still wishing for more stuff along the lines of Yakuza though. I love this genre and I usually find fun in it regardless of how bad it is, it would just be nice to have some better quality variety.

Yeah, so if you're like me and enjoy juggle the shit out of enemies for fun, your level goes up to DIE in no time

Um... okay? A video of a player spamming a move on a cornered enemy while they are already in die mode? I fail to see your point...

Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. It's not BS. You can't just go into die mode by doing one air juggle. In fact, juggling has no effect on the difficulty increasing whatsoever anyway. The only things that matter are that you deal damage and avoid taking damage. It doesn't matter how you deal the damage. Whether or not the enemy is being juggled is irrelevant.

My point was that juggling increases the meter and the video shows that. Duh. The video also shows how easy it is to juggle a defeated enemy, which I frequently did for fun when I was playing the game just like I would do in Guardian Heroes. That means that it DOESN'T take a lot of work to get up to level DIE which was YOUR point in your previous post. Hence MY point that the difficulty system is flawed and not an accurate judge of a player's skill

As you said, the system is based solely on dealing damage and not taking damage. So if you can pull off a few easy infinite juggles on a few of your defeated enemies, the system evaluates you as being a master player and puts you on DIE difficulty. It's not an accurate evaluation of a players skill and essentially punishes you for having a little fun with an already defeated opponent, unlike Guardian Heroes, where doing a few simple, fun infinite juggles rewards you with extra experience. So if the skill evaluatation system that adjusts the game's difficulty doesn't work, that means that it's POINTLESS and STUPID like so many things in God Hand are. It shouldn't even be in the game in the first place if they can't even do it right

And by the way, I challenge you to pull off a fucking infinite juggle without using a wall and while there are other enemies trying to attack you.

Well I wouldn't try to do an infinite juggle with other enemies around because that would obviously be stupid. What your point? You can do juggles in God Hand without walls by the way. It's not that hard and there are youtube videos that show that. The uppercut move alone makes it easy.

God Hand I think was awesome because it scratches an itch that no one dares touch. It's hard as hell, and only gets harder the better you do. I liked God Hand because it forces you to make precise and calculated actions and always be aware of what's going on all around you despite not being able to see it. Everyone bitches about the things I loved about it, similarly with monster hunter. The game's content may be a little incomplete in terms of stoy, and enemies, but I honestly don't care when it comes to games like this. To me it made up for that by being ludicrous and quirky. It will only ever appeal to a very small group of people because it takes a lot of patience and effort to figure out. When that is applied, everything clicks, and it makes sense in no other way. It becomes rhythmic, tense, and gets the heart racing. The game-play is fucking golden to me.

all of what you said is too true, and i couldn't agree more. and your right in the same way as monster hunter, both games need time to really start to grab you (especially Monster Hunter). if you just play for a small amount of time, you can't really judge the game. although both games leave you to everything at their disposal from the start of the game.

It is pointless to really debate this game. It's all opinions

You seem to have missed the word I used to describe a particular kind of juggle you could not do without the use of a wall exploitation. Infinite would be that word.

Honestly though, I apologize a bit. I thought the intention of your earlier posted video was to try and show that juggles were some super-cheap way to get an instant difficulty level up.

Whatever. I can't stand getting into debates about shit like this because it's really just pointless. It's even worse when it's on Racketboy because this is probably the only online community that I truly respect and enjoy.

But the game gives you a "Level Down" just as easily as it gives you a "Level Up". You can juggle a dude and Level Up, but then, if you take a couple hits to the craw you're back down again. It does scale the difficulty based on your current performance.

As for the right analog stick thing, I never had trouble with the game misreading my inputs. It's certainly no more demanding than a fighting game that requires you to do quarter circles and shoryuken motions and whatnot. It's actually far simpler than that. I don't think it's asking too much of a player to say they have to accurately distinguish between up, down, right, and left.

But you're right that eventually it comes down to a matter of opinion. I can certainly respect the notion that this game isn't for everyone. But I don't think that's a matter of quality.
