Kid builds 8-bit homebrew computer

So this kid manages to build a computer all by himself with no education in electronics and such. It makes me feel like I've wasted these past 19 years.... Anywho, have any of you ever built something like this or been interested in truly building a computer?

And to some extent, this reminds me of an old Popeye cartoon where they take a look into the future and comment how far humanity has advanced. The big catch was at the start of the episode, we look at the future family and we see their baby Swee'Pea learning how to split atoms. The final punchline was how people take trips to the Moon and find how Cuban.. I mean, old-timey it is.

Anywho, have any of you ever built something like this or been interested in truly building a computer?

I never built a computer, but I used to tinker with electronics, and learned to program in high school. It was so much easier then when I had free time, at least until I got a job at 16.

Edit: Kid's computer does look cool, though. It motivates me to attempt the same.

Never built a computer. Done some programming and some mods but that's about it.

Yea I'm tempted at the moment to get into this sort of thing seeing how I cant seem to get a job.... So plenty of time to learn!
