Um, I didn't need to see that and not work safe.
Even if it was a girl and I did want to see it, still not work safe.

I'll try to bring this back to random thoughts now. My thought: I hate the fact that DVD regions exist. I now have a wishlist on Amazon.co.uk, despite the fact that I live in the US, thanks to the UK getting some things we don't! Most importantly to me, the third season of The Tick vs, but also the first season of Farlry Oddparents on actual, non MOD DVD and the PPG movie in widescreen rather than crappy ol' fullscreen. Sadly, I'd have even worse complaints if I lived in the UK. A whole lot of DVD sets that came out in the US have to be imported if you live in the UK, more so than the other way around. Also, their prices, when you run them through a currency converter, are in general higher. It's not uncommon at all for something that would only cost you $10-$20 here will cost $30 in the UK. And to think, most of this would be a no-issue if there was no such thing as DVD regions. What is the point of them, other than to cause woe and sorrow? Anyway, I downloaded some media player that's supposed to be able to play discs from any region on my PC, so I'll give that a try.

God I hate regions so much. At least with blu ray a lot of studios are releasing things region free. That's definitely a step in the right direction.BoringSupreez wrote:Thanks for making this forum more beautiful (this time not in blue!)SpaceBooger wrote:I agree and I fixed it.Hobie-wan wrote:Um, I didn't need to see that and not work safe.

Anyhow, you can get region free DVD players. Might be worth looking into if you think you'll be importing a lot.
As for their purpose? To control pricing or something like that.
