When do you think we'll see the PS4 and Xbox 720?

Rumours. I don't know what to believe. They might have Xbox 720 hardware and be in the process of developing for it, but we can't know that for sure. Microsoft sure as hell wouldn't want people to think there's another Xbox in the works when they're trying to sell the kinect.

You mean that lesson about amassing a huge market share and creating such a devoted fanbase that they will ignore massive hardware failure because of their position in a stupid 'console war'?

Cause if that's the lesson they learned, we'll see the next Xbox come Tuesday. It will spark when you plug it in and 2 out of every 5 models will burn your house down. Microsoft will make BILLIONS!

That's right. Had the 360 come out in 2006 alongside the PS3 and Wii, it would have failed horribly, but because it was alone for a year, it did just fine, gathering all the people in who had to have a next-gen console right away.

That's right. Had the 360 come out in 2006 alongside the PS3 and Wii, it would have failed horribly, but because it was alone for a year, it did just fine, gathering all the people in who had to have a next-gen console right away.

I'm not sure about anyone else here, but doesn't the Wii U seem a bit gimmicky? I mean, the only real "improvement" is the 3D aspect with a unique controller. Yes, I realize it can supposedly do some other pretty cool techy stuff, but I sure won't be rushing out to my local EB to get one on launch. The original Wii, in my opinion, is a fairly weak system based on flawed control schemes but that DOES have a wide range of appeal for the younger crowd. I'll stick with my PS3 and 360. As for new consoles from Sony and Microsoft, I wouldn't count any chickens until at least 2014 - 15. Just my two cents!

I can't say I disagree, but I just look at the Move and Kinnect and cringe. Maybe it's just the motion controls I hate. As far as the specs being "updated", should people really be excited that the Wii is now up to par with systems the public has had for the past five or six years? Doesn't seem like a huge leap forward for me, but I guess time will tell.
