Xbox modding

Hey I finally got the softmod installed! All thanks go to VLame for all his help in this endeavor. Now I am trying to get emulators on the damn thing. I finally figured out how to set up an ftp and got one copied to my xbox. However, when I am in the EvoX skin I select "Launch Emulators' and nothing comes up. Am I missing a step in getting my softmodded xbox to recognize emulator software or what?

Hey its all good. I'm so close to having an awesome snes/gen/nes/gb etc emulator I can taste it. I just have to figure out how to get the damn thing to recognize my emulator files

Are you just throwing emulators on there, or xbox specific emulators? I'm sure there are plenty places to get compatible emus, I happened to get all mine at http://www.eurasia.nu/modules.php?name=Downloads and they work great.

Get Auto Installer Deluxe it comes prepackaged with all kinds of emulators and easy installations. Also be sure to get XBMC its the best thing ever, I use it as dashboard with the MC 360 skin which to me is more functional than all the other ones.

Been using XBMC T3CH releases but my apple movie trailers script is broken so I wanna try out

Success! Everything in baby steps for me of course. I managed to boot up my SNES emulator, and after spending a while trying to figure out how to make it stop cutting the screen off really weirdly, I was very happy! However, now I find it completely impossible to ftp any more files over. I think the ethernet port on my old ibook is totally fried

So I'm sad because I can't get anything else on there and I've finally figured all this stuff out. Is there any decent way to get files on there without using ftp? I'm so close yet so far away it seems at every turn but in the end this will be amazing

Ok. After a day of tinkering on my mac I have managed to burn a cdr from xdisc and my xbox is recognizing this cdr. Alas, I cannot get the files off the CDR! Whenever I try to select "copy" or "move" it gives me an error message. Do I need to unlock the HDD on my xbox? When I select this option it tells me I will render my xbox unusable, so I'm guessing I don't want to do that cause it might be permanent. Any advice?

same shit happens to me, it says something about not being able to make a directory in the current place, or something.
