I just saw this on Steam- there is a PC motion controller now created by Razer that is currently coming packaged with Portal 2.
The video makes it look like a pretty useful application of motion controls. I may be wrong, but the ability to twist and turn things easily makes this look like more than a gimmick. I haven't played Portal 2 yet, so I don't know how easy it is to do these same actions with a mouse + keyboard, but it appears rather intuitive and easy to do with the motion controller.

Re: PC Motion Controller with Portal 2
The addition of left handed motion control is what really sets this one apart. The twisting, turning and pulling seems to really enhance a puzzle game like Portal. I guess it ultimately comes down to developers' willingness to design a scheme around it. Turns and looking are still not as quick as mouse play, nor does aiming look as precise.

Fortunately Portal 2 has far fewer "twitch" puzzles than its predecessor.wip3outguy7 wrote:The addition of left handed motion control is what really sets this one apart.
