Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Meh. I beat him legitimately, it was brutally tough but rewarding. As others have said around here no matter what your level, he always takes you out in like 1-2 hits.

Thoughts on the Game(s)

I had played the game on the PS2 when it came out, but like most sandbox games, I got bored after awhile and just stopped playing I picked up both III and Vice City on the PS2 for like $2 a couple years ago, telling myself this time I would play through them, well that all fell through when I realized the PS2 version (and another Xbox version of VC)of both games doesn't allot you to control camera in third person view, you had to rely on the games lock on feature, which I find frustrating so I stopped playing, telling myself I will pick up the PC versions if I ever see them on the cheap, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

A few weeks ago I found Vice city on the PC and finished it this morning, while I did enjoy the games main story missions and the voice acting is great, the fact that towards the end of the game, or at least the end by the main story, you have to go around doing pointless and unrelated missions just annoys me, I really had to push through being bored without a story to carry the game. What I dislike about sandbox games in general, they dont hold the main story well enough, Red Dead was the first one I felt really pulled it off well.

Overall the PC version plays far better than the PS2 and Xbox counterparts, for the fact you can control easily, if the game was just story missions, I would have utterly loved it, the side missions you have to do in order to play the final missions wore my opinion of the game down.

Tactics Ogre (SNES)
Ecco the Dolphin CD
Sonic CD (Japanese)
Sonic CD (US)
Sonic & Knuckles
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
Blaster Master
Fallout New Vegas (PC)
Duke Nukem Forever (PC)

I summed up my thoughts here.

Short version: I liked it. It really wasn't that bad at all. However I'd advise anyone and everyone to only go with the PC version if possible.

Still grinding my way through Phantasy Star. I am at the part of the game where Noah/Lutz has to fight a 1-on-1 boss battle, so I have been leveling him up a lot to prepare. It really, really sucks that there is no item in this game that restores your MP. :(

Cool. I'm working my way through Dead Space right now too. I'm only on chapter 4 though, so I'm maybe a quarter of the way through.

2010 Games Beaten

After beating FEAR 2 yesterday, I was curious to see how the story developed, if at all, in the add-on pack. The add-on was an interesting side story and fun while it lasted - but it is fairly short at 4 quick levels and probably not worth the $10 (but it would be well worth $5 or so if you ever see it on sale). It probably took me under 2 hours. In any case, I am now fully psyched for FEAR 3 this week, and can only hope it continues to advance what has been a very strong series in my opinion.

If you pickup FEAR 3 I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts. New developer and all, though I think it'd be hard to funk up FEAR.

Sorry you bought Reborn... haha, that was the last DLC I bought and I was pretty disgusted with how short it was, I honestly think it took myself only an hour at most.
