Yeah, I much prefer Banjo-Tooie's hub level. The teleporters helped; the world was absolutely MASSIVE.
Yeah I just liked Tooie a lot more in general. Have never beaten it though, the game is insanely big (just like DK64). Kazooie isn't quite as long.

I know that Tooie is far and away the better game, but I find that the original has a lot more charm and fun in it. But, I loved both of them, and beat them tons of times. :D

One thing I really, really dislike in RPGs are mini-games. I don't mind side-quests, but seriously, why must I have Quina catch frogs? What point does this serve? A city is under siege, and the game wants me to catch frogs?

Yeah, the world is coming to an end, but first help me move these crates.

CT progress: I'm now in the high 40s low 50s for levels, so I finally took a run at the Black Omen and lost on Zeal's 2nd form. I think I know what to do next time, but I am a bit worn out from that fight for today so I'll try again tomorrow. From what I understand after you go through Zeal 2 you go to Lavos automatically - sounds like a more worthy way of beating the game, if I can pull it off.

I still think Super Mario RPG did them better than just about any other game though!

I always thought Final Fantasy did mini-games exceptionally well. Not sure about Quinta catching frogs in FF IX, but, generally FF does mini-games damn well.

I'm hard-pressed to think of any mini-games in FFIV, my favorite FF.

I will never know the joy of mini-games in Super Mario RPG, as I didn't care for the game at all.
