Can you get viruses on your PS3?

Lets say in a hypothetical situation I viewed "adult material" (although I would never do that!) on my PS3 internet browser. Can the system actually be infected with a virus like any old computer, or that not something to worry about?

I imagine the PS3 can easily hold the data for a virus but unless it is scripted to act in such a way that the hypervisor either doesn't see or is fooled into allowing, I don't know if your PS3 could actually be infected.

And to the best of my knowledge, outside of game developers, there are only a few people who actually have the technical knowledge to write their own new scripts to defeat the hypervisor.

I imagine Niode could probably give you a more definitive answer, though.

I don't believe a single PS3 virus exists. I could be mistaken though.

I can pretty much guarantee there are no PS3 viruses on any pron sites however.

I doubt there are any PS3 viruses out there. It just wouldn't be worth the time to code it, considering how few people use the browser on a regular basis.

Just a general note, indeed the PS3 and the XBOX360 and even the Wii can all get viruses (note the proper pluralization). Whether or not they exist I do not know, but they most certainly can get them.
