Re: I Love My Neo-Geo Pocket Color!
Does anyone know where I can get the front light mod? I love this handheld, but getting the proper lighting is a pain
Comics, RPG's, miniatures, and now retrogaming? I guess its time to learn to go without eating...

I believe we're relegating that to DIY kits. Unless you want to jump over to the Neo-Geo forums and ask for a commission piece.

Finally got my hands on one of these with Metal Slug, Fatal Fury and Sonic. Gotta say I love this thing. Just plain great.
Any updates on these DIY kits or anything?pakopako wrote:I believe we're relegating that to DIY kits. Unless you want to jump over to the Neo-Geo forums and ask for a commission piece.

Well, here's Xian Xi's (from Neo-Geo.com) guide. It lists all the tools are parts you have to collect, including a GBSP you have to rip apart for the donor lights.FAHQALL wrote:Any updates on these DIY kits or anything?
Also, thanks RacketBoy for putting up the NGPC to the "Games that Defined..." list. (As you can read my comment, I still think it could have been a bit longer.)

Yeah, I've read through that before, I was just wondering if you meant someone was putting together an actual kit that would have the lights and stuff ready to go. Thanks though, I'll have to pick up some extra SPs sometime to give it a shot.pakopako wrote: Well, here's Xian Xi's (from Neo-Geo.com) guide. Just got mine - all the paperwork is there, very good condition...except the lithium battery was dead (power light flashing - lots of warnings) so I couldn't play anything. Off to Radio Shack!

One interesting thing about the NGP is that it was the first handheld with a system menu.

Thanks to all of you, I had to go check out NGPC's on Ebay, and was surprised to find they are pretty reasonably priced. Couple of questions though, were there a lot of counterfeit versions released? I found one auction that had the system in a clamshell package with 6 games, and it just looks a bit off. Was there a rechargeable battery pack offered for the NGPC? I only ask because that's the main thing that kept me from getting a GBA. I guess I've been spoiled by the PSP and DS.
Current systems: Nintendo Switch and XBox 360,
