I actually have most of the billboards / yellow gates / super jumps, but I said hell no to the Burnout Elite license and ruling all the roads. Too time consuming for very little reward. Though maybe one day I will 100% my PC copy. You never know.

Hmm, I will have to check out my own progress in that game at some point - didn't know this!

Is that what you count as beating

No. I was just saying how far I am.

I mean, shouldn't we be posting in on how far we are to beating the game? That way, it's just a beat easier to call bullshit on bullshitters.

I feel sorry for whoever has to lie about beating a game on some message board...

That and the...ermm...topic kinda implies something.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Really? "Bullshitters"? You do realize that no one here sees this as a competition, right? And that we all employ our own definitions of what counts as beating a game?

1. Mercs (PS2)
2. Darkstalkers 3 (PS1)
3. House Of The Dead Overkill (Wii)
4. Mega Man 3 (PS2)
5. Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters (PS2)
6. Halo 2600 (Atari 2600)
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (NES)
8. Castlevania Chronicles (PS1)
9. Shadow Of The Colossus (PS2)
10. Capcom Vs. SNK Pro (PS1)
11. Capcom Vs. SNK 2: Mark Of The Millennium (PS2)
12. Super Street Fighter IV (PS3)
13. Mobile Light Force (PS1)
14. Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (PS3)
15. Galaga Arrangement (PSP)
16. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift (PS3)
17. Mr. Driller (PS1)
18. Dead Or Alive (PS1)
19. Super Puzzle Fighter II HD Remix (PS3)

OK, so I'm a huge Puzzle Fighter fan. No secrets there. I had to get this for online play. The new balance mode proves to be WAAAY too easy... at least on single player mode. I just ran through the 1 Player mode in like 15 minutes. As far as difficulty goes, I'd say PS1 was the hardest version, GBA was slightly easier and this is the easiest. Though it doesn't matter since I got this for online anyway.

It LOOKS amazing. I'm thrilled. Just beautiful presentation. And Puzzle Fighter is one of the few games that I care about unlocking EVERYTHING so it'll be fun to re-do all that shit on here again.

05/05: Beautiful Escape: Dungeoneer (PC)
05/11: Chef Boyardee's... Barkley: Shut Up and Jam Gaiden (PC)
05/23: Vanguard Princess (PC)
06/15: Fate By Numbers
06/16: The Otherside: Realm of Eons

Fate By Numbers was quick and easy (about 10 minutes total), but a cool concept executed reasonably well. You are a criminal detective interrogating your only suspect on a kidnapping case. You have to say the right things to get the person to talk and save the kid. It could have been done better, but I would love to see scenes like this in other cop games. An interrogation scene is intensified by having dialogue trees and right and wrong approaches to getting information out of a suspect.

The Otherside: Realm of Eons is a hidden object game (or HOG, as I like to call them). I bought it on a Steam sale awhile back so I could say I at least tried this genre of game. But when dsheinem started the thread recently about what genres have you NOT played, I decided I really hadn't given this a fair shot so I played it all the way through. Though I still dislike this genre, I feel I understand it a little better now after playing through the entire game and continuing to ask myself "why would someone want to play this?" I think this kind of game must tap into some primitive hunter/gather need to identify things that are hard to see. Though I find this genre to just be a non stop session of "Christ, where did I put my damn keys now?", it has its merits. There were times when I was genuinely surprised to find hidden items that were cleverly concealed in the image. It takes a keen eye to notice things and there is a certain amount of fun to finding that really well camouflaged thing that you've been looking for over the last 10 minutes of staring at the same picture. This genre is terrible for storytelling though. They came up with sooooo many bullshit excuses for me to have to sort through crap to find items and I found every fetch quest I was sent on to be exceedingly annoying. Every time you find a bunch of things and feel like you get to move on, then you suddenly have to find another bunch of things. Each task feels frustrating because it gets in the way of telling the story, and the story becomes exceedingly ludicrous to justify all of the hidden object finding, so the whole things just falls apart. Though, I actually enjoyed myself more once I had given up on the story being of any interest and just got in a rhythm for object detection.

2010 Games Beaten

The Gunblade NY/LA Machine Guns bundle for the Wii is really a lot of fun - some of the most fun I've had in a light gun shooter ever, even if the games are relatively simple.

I decided to do a second playthrough of FEAR 2 ahead of the sequel coming out next week, and am going to tackle the add-on DLC next. I am a big fan of this series and really, really like FEAR 2 for its gameplay mechanics and AI (the story and the "frights" are a little lacking, though). The mech sections are a lot of fun, too.
