Didn't anybody else see this part of the article?

"Year to date, the industry is a worrying 14 percent off of 2010's retail sales pace."

So, it's already more than just a one-month decline.

Although, another article indicated that these numbers only include retail sales (i.e. not downloads).

The market will have its fluctuating months. The important ones to follow are holiday sales. That and keep sales in perspective with te overall economic climate

So, in other words, May saw the release of L.A.Noire and a bunch of PC games which were likely bought digitally and thus likely didn't have their sales reported.

Yeah, I'm gonna file this one under "Not an issue".

Whatever happened to buying a pair of plastic lightsabers and dueling it out amongst your friends?
