I didn't know that the load time issue was fixed... Is there comparison video to show how improved the times are ? Did they ever add a battle mode to ModNation? That was the reason I returned the game, not enough Mario Kart-ish Battle action

It was still worth it to me, even with the long loading times. My tops for this generation (keeping in mind I don't play many racing games and I've never played one on the 360)
1. Wipeout HD + Fury - PSN Stunned after getting it from the Welcome Back program. It is insanely addictive, and high adrenaline inducing. Everyone who's raced me has really enjoyed the game, including others who don't generally play racing games.
2. Modnation Racers - PS3/PSP. Played it, enjoyed it, but yet to own it. I did get the PSP version (another Welcome Back game) and well it's not as good as the PS3 version it's still a pretty fun game, especially if you like the idea of designing your own tracks or are really into customization.
