At this point, I'll probably purchase most of my PS2 games online. I pretty much snagged a lot of the decent and complete games that the Gamestops around here had left, which was a couple of months ago.

Now, it seems most of the Gamestops around here have overpriced PS2 games or lots of incomplete games. The sections keep getting smaller and the games keep losing their original artwork, cases, and manuals. :(

This is particularly irritating because I'm picking up my first gamecube (platinum for $30!) on Saturday... at least there is Play N' Trade, Thrift Stores and the internet....

To be honest, if it weren't for the success of the Wii, Gamestop would've stopped carrying Gamecube games a long time ago.

This thread title seems a little confusing.

So you mean to tell me if I drive down to one of my local Gamestop's right now there won't be any PS2 games there, and even if there are they won't sell it to me??

How is it confusing? It states HIS GameStop has stopped, not all of them.

They will sell off their stock if they have, but not take anything in most likely. Everyone announced that they were stopping GBA. Two weeks ago I walked in and they had a box of random GBA games and a list of the more rare expensive behind the counter.

I had suspected this would happen soon (as did probably everyone). I've been picking up whatever PS2 games I can find at GameStops all over NY (I do a lot of traveling) since they've pretty much hit rock bottom prices.

I think someone changed the thread title. I believe it merely said "Gamestop has stopped selling PS2 games" before. Unless I need my eyes checked? Hmm.

Still hasn't happened at any of the gamestops I've been to, but two that I went to recently aren't carrying or aren't displaying GBA games.
Black DSi, Pink GBC, Softmodded Wii, Softmodded Fat Ps2, Black Gamecube, Xbox, Dreamcast, Ps1 Slim, Atomic Purple GBC, Onyx GBA SP, Gears of War 3 Edition Xbox 360 Slim, PSP 3000, NES.
