When do you think we'll see the PS4 and Xbox 720?

That does make sense to me though. The Xbox 360 will be going onto 7 years by next fall. In fact, strategically, Microsoft releasing a new Xbox alongside the Wii U will be very key. It also means that they will once again release before Sony, which I expected anyways. It also seems like the right time for Microsoft to use next years E3 to unveil the successor to the Xbox 360.

2012 will be very interesting.

No offense to others, but since changing careers I haven't got as much spare change lying around anymore. I had all three consoles this generation but I think this next round I'm just throwing my hat in the ring with Sony. I know that may be blasphemy to some but it's honestly how I feel about it.

I liked the Wii for its VC and all the retro gaming that offered, but there just hasn't been enough NEW stuff on it to really grasp my attention.

And I actually had a lot of hope for the Xbox 360 after first playing Lost Odyssey but I've never been a huge Halo fan and it seems to me that, aside from that, there just isn't a lot of exclusive originality on the platform. Again, my perception only.

The PS3 I have is luckily one of the original 60gb versions. So it's really like 3 game systems and 2 movie players in one. Plus it has netflix streaming and it's starting to pick up a few more retro titles. Not many I'll grant that. But it has a respectable collection of NEO GEO and TG16 games now and a couple DC games with more on the way. I think it'll balance out rather nicely.

That's actually been my perception of the 360 as well. I think it's very telling that the majority of my 360 library is JP import shmups (and Virtual On).

When I had a 360, 90% of my collection was multiplatform. Now that I have a PS3, it's the other way around.
