I played a few rounds of Tekken 3 earlier, because I wanted to test out some PS1 games. Because a few of the games pictures started jumping on my old TV. It was strange. Especially cuz only PS1 games seemed to do this. But Tekken 3 didnt so played it. It was fuuuun.

Ever notice that when SNK has a glitch in their games, even relatively minor ones like the ones you mentioned (Iori and Terry having a free super extension that does very minimal damage doesn't change anything - in fact, I honestly think it is just an EXTENSION, not a super in and of itself, and thus SHOULDN'T cost super), people complain and complain and say the game is broken?

Ever notice that when Capcom has a glitch in their games (I.E. ALL OF THEM), even extremely major glitches that affect the entire flow of the game (I.E. Cable's invincible air super, MvC3's DHC Damage Scaling Glitch), people not only excuse the glitch, but say that the glitch makes the game BETTER and DEEPER?

This has always stuck me as extremely strange.
i hate capcom fanboys. honestly the only capcom games i really like are SF3:3S and Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary. Hard pressed to find a glitch in those games which wasn't fixed in a home version.

Currently I'm on the SNES version. After that I'll work on N64 and I have arcade emu's of Killer Instinct and K2.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

KI on the SNES has always served me well.. No complaints for me, regardless of graphic quality or framerates compared to the arcade version. I always felt it was a solid port, given the time!

playing Way of the Exploding Fist on the Commodore 64 and Virtua Fighter Kids on the Sega Saturn

both rather kick-ass games (especially Way of the Exploding Fist)
C-64 will never die

This is good news :) I haven't had a lot of fun with a KoF in a long time. Hoping that Atlus beefs it with content, as that is usually what sells me on a fighter.

Been a while since I've played XII, but it's fast paced as hell. Every character was fun to use, too, and none of them felt useless.

I pretty much played Random the whole time, and ended up 1-Character-Completing my sparring partner with characters I've never bothered playing before like Mature and Elizabeth - it just feels like every character is easier to get into.

Oh yeah, I really loved going through the costumes and finding the references. Maxima as EVA Unit 01 was the biggest surprise, but it was still fun to play as Ash as The Joker, Raiden as Venom, Hwa Jai as The Incredible Hulk, etc. Kula even has a skin that makes her ice, complete with a transparency effect over her entire body.

But yeah, the guy I was beating the crap out of constantly actually said he thought this was the best KOF ever. I'd have to put more time into it to come to such a conclusion, but from what I've played, I'd say he can't be too far off.
