DOUCHEBAGERY TO THE MAX, F***ing hackers

Post by ajsracket »

So where does it end? They have now hacked sony, nintendo, the fbi, the cia, a few game companies, and pbs...and despite all that people STILL support them and this hacker shit.

From the bottom of my heart to ALL hackers, go fuck yourselves you douchebag pieces of shit wastes of a human life. Why not try doing something productive with your pathetic lives instead of destroying things and fucking it up for those of us who DON'T break the rules.

How ANYONE can consider these people "heroes" is beyond me. So how exactly is any of this benfitting me again? When the "authorities" begin using this as a means to enact "control" of the net....

I SERIOUSLY want bodily harm to come to these losers

Goddamn, I know I'll get flamed for this, but people need to stop associating hackers with this crap. I admit that I defended lulzsec at first, because it seemed like they were mainly showing the bad security of these large companies, but in light of recent events (hacking minecraft.net? Really guys?) I have to completely change my opinion, these guys are total douchebags, and really come off as stupid children having a tantrum.

HOWEVER, they do not represent the vast majority of proper hackers by a longshot, so if you're angered by what they did, by all means denounce lulzsec for their stupid bullshit, but don't go on some ridiculous "death to all hackers" rant, because hackers, proper hackers that is, provide vast amounts of tech that we take for granted, and in general are good people. Just like any other group of people, there are going to be bad apples in the bunch, but that shouldn't change your opinion on the group as a whole.

C'mon people, we're better than this.

^ this!!

Ajsracket, once again, you're only recognizing and focusing on the negative aspect of somebody with a slightly elevated ability to grasp computer code and use it for their own selfish and malicious means.. They are NOT hackers. They are not "hacktivists". (oh God, I can't wait to see Niode react to that word..) They are, as you so mildly referred to it in your thread title - just douchebags. I implore you, ajsracket, to do yourself and many good-hearted programmers in our schools, corporate IT depts, government facilities, and nation's armed services a favor and do a quick internet search for the term 'Ethical Hacking.' You, like so many ignorant people, (and I use that term not to be offensive to you, but in the true context of the word: ignorant: adj. - "lacking in knowledge, or training.") hear the term 'hacker' and immediately conjure up images of either greasy, overweight twenty-somethings surrounded by Star Wars figurines, (or The Matrix,) and think they are up to no good.. You are wrong, sir...

It's dumb. If they feel they must hack, skip all this wimpy BS. Attacking the internet's core infrastructure shows more guts.

This is one of those rare occasions where quoting the poster and writing "this" is about as much as I can show my agreement. So... This.

You want someone to come to bodily harm because they took down a few websites? You have some serious issues, b. BTW, all those games you play were made by hackers. Your computer operating system too, and the browser you use to visit this site. All the work of hackers.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

Not sure what that means really. Sounds a lot like compassionate conservative or intelligent liberal or even THE EASTER BUNNY! Look, honestly, these so called "proper hackers" need to come up with a different name to describe their work and fast. Because the negative association is already too far entrenched in the public mindset. When everyday people hear the word "hacker", I can all but guarantee you nothing good comes to mind. And let's be honest, everyday people are what drives the markets. So if any of these supposed "Cyber Robin Hoods" actually exist, I'd suggest a new name and image in the future.

The word hacker doesnt have anything to do with these clowns, its the media that has changed its meaning into something negative.

If you really cant see that somebody could genuinely be interested in computers and how they work without being a total arse then I think you are being pretty short sited. If you spend any time time on hacker, or even cracker boards, (i'm not talking about 4chan or any troll pits like it) you'll find most of the people just want to learn how stuff works and find a way to beat it.

There is damn good money to be made from being a professional hacker, big software companies will pay to have their software tested for expoits that less moral people may use. Would you lump these people together with lulzsec?
