I think that this can go both ways. Often in just one person.
As a child, I didn't have very many games. My first console was a SNES and I only had a few games for it.
Super Mario World
Tetris Attack
Final Fantasy III
Each it's own categorie, each I have a different oppinion on. (Note: I love all ethree of these)
Platformers like SMW are really boring for me now, I can't go back and play games like Yoshi's island as I get bored after a few minutes.
Puzzle games are rally indifferent to me, I don't play them much, bujt I enjoy it when I do.
Last would be RPGs, which are my favorite genera of games, and I can play for hours on end.
So I guess it really depends on the person, oddly, I never played a FPS untill Modern Waarefare 2, and now I can't get enough of then, I love going back to older ones and playing them.

Not quite sure I'm getting this.
I had both NES Zelda games and Dragon Warrior/Quest. Now I've got no interest in games like any of them.

Yeah, I don't necessarily want to keep replaying Link to the Past, FFIV, etc... but games similar to them are best to me. Does that make sense? I guess we all have different reactions to games, some despising what they loved, some loving what they had yet to discover. Oh, well.BoringSupreez wrote:Actually, I have the opposite reaction than the OP. I don't prefer the games I used to play when I first started gaming. With one exception, the Sonic series, I'm completely sick of every game I touched before 2006. Regardless of quality. I've played them too darn many times. I could never bring myself to play through the original Medal of Honor for PS1. Why bother putting the disc in anyway, I can play the stupid thing from memory. Not that I don't like games made back when I was younger, it's just that I'm only interested in the ones I didn't get to play way back when.

I found it odd. My first system was GBA, so I love 2D games. Then I got gamecube. I can't play OOT because it just seems to suck compared to 2D Zelda's and the gamecube ones to me. On the other hand, I love Majoras Mask....
I also have a dislike of games such as the original Halo and Doom where the enviroments all look the same and are easy to get lost in... is Doom 64 as easy to get lost in?
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360
WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

I'm not sure what you mean about the original Halo being easy to get lost in. Also, Doom has a map function that almost nobody seems to bother with for whatever reason.

Older. Not wiser.

Yeah if he means the Library for Halo where the environs look the same I'm with him. As far as getting lost...I don't see it.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I'm not sure what you mean about the original Halo being easy to get lost in. Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
