Re: What fighter are you currently playing?
^I haven't played it . Can't believe they left out Morrigan.
Re: What fighter are you currently playing?
don't do it to yourself. fuck this game, the game is so broken, only iori and terry can do lvl 3 supers (by spamming QCF+P or someshit during the lvl1) but it doesnt cost extra. the hit boxes omg....Hugo is a joke, ripped and downgraded from SF3. hahahah piece of shit.
Charge characters can't charge DB
Code: Select all
-Bloom of The Wolf (during Rage of the 8 Maidens): QCFx4 +
LP + HP:
An extension of Rage of the 8 Maidens introduced in KOF2001.
Iori slashes the air then unleashes a pillar of flame right after.
This super does some okay damage (not as much as expected
for how spectacular and cool the super looks) but any damage
is good damage and knocks down. Always try to execute when
you land Rage of The 8 Maidens, espcially since this extension
costs no extra bar.
Code: Select all
qcb,db,f + P S^ Power Geyser
_qcf + P Double Geyser
_qcf + P Triple Geyser

Re: What fighter are you currently playing?
People hear about Namco and Capcom's upcoming work on separate versions of Tekken X Street Fighter and they're excited to try out each companies take on the idea. But Capcom did this previously with SNK. Everybody knows about Capcom vs SNK, but few know about SNK's version of the dream-fight series: SVC Chaos.
Maybe it's because I've only played the XBox version of the game, but I liked SVC Chaos. Sure, it's not the most stable fighting game in the world, and nobody will ever choose it over SSF4, or even Capcom vs SNK 2.. But I appreciated it for what it was - SNK's take on Capcom vs SNK. (This was also the 1st appearance of Zero as a fighter, not MvC3...)
Also, I love seeing the Capcom characters drawn up in the classic SNK/NeoGeo style..
Again, not saying it's one of the best by any stretch, I'm just saying I appreciate it for what it is.. How many other games would let you play Zero vs Geese, or Firebrand (arcade version) against Mars People?

yeah, I know all about the SNK V Capcom, but never played cuz (A) they took out Morrigan and (B) I vastly prefer Capcom fighting games to SNK ones, so didn't seem worth importing to me.

I gotta say, Noise - have you played Capcom Vs SNK:Match of the Millenium on the NeoGeo Pocket Color? It's really awesome, and if I recall has a solid Morrigan as well!

I havent personally, but I've read all about it. It's kind of like Pocket Fighter in a sense right? At any rate, supposedly one of the best portable Capcom fighters out there. (Is there a NGPC emulator out there for anything? PSP maybe?)

Its art and play style are a lot like Pocket Fighter, minus the gem collecting for Supers and Hypers. It's definitely the best portable fighter I've ever played and I regret trading it away to somebody 10 years ago.. As for emulators, there's NeoPop which I think is the best out there..
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/misc/neopop.html
I know there is a port for the oXBox, if you like to play emulators on there, but as for the PSP I'm not too sure.. The link takes you to the PC emulator.
Also, when hunting for ROMs, look for any NGPC fighter - as they're all really great! True to NeoGeo's rep, they did handheld fighters the best, and they still have yet to be rivaled, IMHO.. Don't forget Metal Slug, too.. The NGPC port is awesome as well!

You can get an NGPC on the cheap cheap - and all but a few carts are cheap as well. My complaint on the NGPC is the weak-lit screen, but if you don't mind sitting under a light, or attaching a worm light - it's a real solid system w/some of the cutest damn fighters you ever did see
