I notice the same games are consistently popping up, I was wondering if that would happen and it's interesting to see that it has been.

In no particular order
  • Borderlands - PC - Ive got more hours in this than any other game this gen. It is everything I wanted in the a coop FPS - I just wish they would release an expansion or another set of dlc.
  • Left 4 Dead 2 - PC - So I was on the "L4D2 is a copout" bandwagon at the beginning. Regardless a friend gave me a copy on steam when it was on sale. It took a few months but when I finally got around to playing it I realized something. It was everything that I wanted in L4D1. The first game always felt alittle off, but 2 feels perfect. That and Ellis and Nicks dialogues are priceless.
  • Castle Crashers - 360 - Im a big fan of coop, so beatemups are one of my favorite genres. Castle Crashers is what I wanted Guardian Heroes to be back when I first played it. It is just a hoot with four players, and you can be a bear.
  • Bomberman Blast - Wii - 8 player Bomberman. It is not as good as Saturn Bomberman, but it is still a great game.
  • Bioshock - PC - The first Bioshock game is almost perfect. If it had coop, like SS2, it would be perfect. The atmosphere is excellent, the difficulty scales just right, there is only one escort mission, and it just flows really well. That and it scared the piss out of me a couple times - damn Weeping Angel Slicers (I even knew that was going to happen and it scared the shit out of me).
Honorable Mentions:
  • Professor Layton series - DS
  • Trine - PC
  • Mario Galaxy - Wii - still have not played 2
  • Perfect Dark (remake) - 360
  • New Super Mario Bros - Wii
  • Phantasy Star 0 - DS
