WOW! Interesting! It could be possible to port that early build demo to Dreamcast I would think.

I know the PS2 HL models are different, but somebody posted them to DC.

I don't have a PS2 anymore, not owned one for YEARS lol. So unfortunately I wouldn't know really.

Also, nice to see you again, I noticed you aren't posting much in the Sega forums anymore lol.

that demo, is it normal hl or includes decay?

it may contain clues to how decay works (there is the possibility that doesnt depend on custom dlls)

Thanks to both of you. Once I finish Mass Effect and Metro 2033, I'll look into recreating Day of Defeat maps. If anyone has any requests say so now before I begin as I'm just gonna use whatever maps come with the Day of Defeat 3.1 download I got off of moddb.com.

Can we have a large assortment of weapons please? Anyway, this will be freaking sweet! It will be like MOH or COD1.

I couldn't get the bsp2map tool to work and I tried several others but when I tried converting with another one it would always quit responding I even tried it in various compatibility modes... Any suggestions? I even tried BSPViewer to open the .bsp and it has a convert to .map feature but the .map it creates doesn't open in VHE without givin an error... Any help would be super. And if anyone knows where I can get the original DoD maps that'd be awesome too.

Also, maybe I should mention I've never played DoD before lol. AAAAAAND, is there any possibility that they could add multiplayer support to the HL:DC platform, atleast local multiplayer as I know online would be nothing more than a dream....

Multiplayer is a possibility if the Windows CE SDK mod dll's would compile on Dreamcast. Right now, we are waiting on some breakthroughs, but apparently any HL PC mod could be ported, and you could change the actual game logic then. Then we could have 4 player split screen Multiplayer possible, or even COOP and have the PS2 coop campaign Decay ported.

Now we have little more than glorified map packs, although They Hunger and Paranoia shows us what is possible to do on a Dreamcast.

@Banana, Did you ever try the program out yet?

Its almost been 3 months, but I didn't want to keep bugging you about it, but 3 months = a quarter of a year, so yeah.

Divagante was going to try and work on making a good tutorial on how to mod Half-Life Dreamcast for total noobs like me, cause I can never get my maps to load from other mods, so I must be doing something wrong. When he gets the tut finished I will try to help out with the mod in a more active role.

I believe I'm going to have to resign for a while as HL map maker apprentice. Sophomore year at TAMU just started and my schedule is pretty hectic. I greatly appreciate divagante's videos they were truly informative keep up the good work. And Anthony for pushing me lol.
