Video Games Gone! Help me play Detective! Reward!!

Post by millerjm2 »

Posted this at Nintendo Age too but thought you guys could help too.

Figured I would try this out. I have been driving for the past four days from VA to Texas. On the last night of the trip, in ROCKWALL TEXAS all the games I had purchased on the way down were stolen. I am fully aware that the chances of finding my games are slim to none, however I figured if anybody could help and increase the likelihood that my games be found, it would be you guys.

Location: Rockwall Texas

To give you an idea of where I was, this city is located roughly 20 miles east of Dallas. I could go into specifics in regards to exactly where I was but I imagine that won't help.

Items Stolen

There are some fairly specific titles in here so they should not be too difficult to differentiate if they are ever located.

NES

Wacky Races - A fairly uncommon title, this specific title had a large, blue Blockbuster sticker on it.
Mechanized Attack - 'Jason' was written in black ink on the front of the cart (there was also a last name that I believe started with a 'm').
King of Kings - no distinguishing marks, however I figure unlicensed Wisdom Tree games will stick out like a sore thumb.
Toobin'
Batman - Return of the Joker - Sun damaged label.
Might and Magic
Conflict
Shadow of the Ninja
North & South
Little Ninja Bros
Uninvited - Burn mark on the back/top of the cart

There are about ten more titles that escape me at the moment, however the details on the titles listed above should be specific enough.

SNES

Sunset Riders
Secret of Evermore

Both of the Super Nintendo titles did not have any distinguishing marks.

N64

Pokemon Stadium

Game Cube

Super Mario Sunshine (X2, one with manual, the other w/o)
Super Smash Bros Melee
Mario Kart DD

PS2

Shadow of Colossus (CIB)

X-Box

Silent Hill 4 (The manual had a sticker from a rental store in Texas on the front cover)
Fatal Frame II
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II
Star Wars: Jedi Academy

Game Boy

Pokemon Red
Pokemon Gold (X2)
Rolan's Curse 2
Jeep Jamboree
Battle Unit Zeoth
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Movie

There are others but that is what I can remember off the top of my head. I have already filed a Police Report and given my contact info to local dealers, Pawn Stores, and GameStops. Any help would be appreciated. And as I said in the thread title. I will gladly reward anyone with a very nice copy of Duck Tales 2 that can give me information that leads to the return of the games. I have also been keeping a pretty good eye on Dallas Craigslist for any leads.
Last night I was fortunate enough to pick up a copy of Earthbound and thankfully brought that inside with me last night (among other SNES titles) so everything wasn't lost and for some reason they left my copy of Gemfire and Mario Party but took everything else (including a large, blue Rubber Maid container full of empty boxes, paperwork, etc.).

I will gladly reward anyone with information that leads me to my games.

And for good reason. Although I hope you find your stuff.

What you'll need to do is keep an eye on craigslist ads for that area and maybe do searches on ebay for those items, listing Rockwall Texas as your location and categorizing search results by geography.

Other than that and maybe calling the retro stores in the area (assuming there are any) I'm afraid you'll have a very difficult time tracking these games down. Really sorry, friend.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Good luck. I'd suggest focusing on searching for "Wacky Races" or "King of Kings" since they have fairly clear names and Wacky Races will have a sticker (or a rip where the sticker used to be).
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Oh man that really sucks. :( Some people are such jerks! Stealing is such a low-life thing to do. That was a really nice wad of games too, sorry to hear they were stolen.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
