Well, one next generation console has been unveiled so far so the other two will likely follow soon, right? Or wrong...? I think I remember something about a "10 year lifespan" being touted for the PS3 at launch - but maybe that was just hype? And the Xbox 360 I figured would be about ready to step down to a successor but with the fairly recent launch of kinect it seems unlikely Microsoft would finance a console successor any time soon.

Well, the Dreamcast 2 is coming out 12/12/12, so the PS4 will be coming along about a year later with the ability to play holograms.
