I think it would be cool to go to a convention of some kind. But I never know when they're going on, I never know where they're going on, and I imagine entrance probably costs a good bit of money for like tickets or something. That last one may be purely my imagination since I've never actually been to a convention.

EDIT: Also, since there are so many different conventions I wouldn't know which are worth going to and which aren't.

Everyone has their personal preferences. I highly recommend Otakon in Baltimore if you're on the East Coast as it is the biggest around. Not to say that bigger is always better, but it certainly is a sight to see. There's always something to do and if for some reason none of the events interest you, the dealer room is HUUUUUUGE. I'm not even sure how big. Perhaps 3 football fields or so. And just walking around and checking out the cosplay can be fun.

I am not as fond of smaller cons. Not much to do unless there are guests and panels you specifically are going to that con to see. Or just have a bunch of friends also going. They're fine for one day but not 3 or 4 like the larger cons.

Eden of the East is the other show I'm watching. It's pretty good so far.

Awesome, been pretty interested in this one for awhile, same director from Ghost in the Shell SAC and Moribito so that's definitely why I'm curious about it!

EotE was beautiful, but it felt like such wasted potential and a case of piss-poor pacing. You have people trying to kill each other by throwing money around, and instead you spend half the time looking at a recycling club that's making a search engine.

Please tell me there's more too it than that. For such a visually beautiful series, that description doesn't pique my interest at all :?

I am a fan of classic animes :) I love Candy Candy from 1965 which is rated as one of the best all-times...they do not make such kind of animes anymore.

Just finished Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru. A fun anime that had a lot of potential, but was ultimately dissatisfying.

The ending was decent. Though it's main fault was the fact that Mariya didn't get run over by a truck. I swear to god she was perhaps the most selfish anime character I've ever had the misfortune to come across. Also, you know that kind of person who if they decide they don't like you then they basically make it there life goal to make your life a living hell as best they can? From everything as small as gloating about there own accomplishments to something as major as ruining your chance at being with someone you love? Mariya does both of those and everything in between. She is the absolute definition of a bitch, and yet shes considered one of the "good guys" in Otoboku. That's bullshit. I honestly can't understand how she and the protagonist (A real stand-up guy in every way) can be best friends.

It's so painful because I really wanted to like this show. The plot was interesting and the majority of the cast of characters were either really good or managed to not get in the way. And the show had such a huge buildup that implied it would have a satisfying romantic ending but then Mariya had to come along and FUCK EVERYTHING UP. Along with one or two other annoying characters and the fact that the show couldn't seem to focus on it's strengths it was just really disappointing as a whole. :(

You should go. They're actually pretty fun, and I'm far from being a people person.
