What's with the Guitar Hero guitars that every Goodwill within a 30 miles radius of me is flooded in?!

It's what happens when Activision milks the franchise so hard that they have to announce its cancellation.markeconrad wrote:What's with the Guitar Hero guitars that every Goodwill within a 30 miles radius of me is flooded in?!

Last time I tried buying one at goodwill, it didn't have a price tag. It rang up at $50markeconrad wrote:What's with the Guitar Hero guitars that every Goodwill within a 30 miles radius of me is flooded in?!

Re: Flea Markets/ Thrift Stores
I haven't seen the guitars at Goodwill in my area, yet. But the local used movie/video game shop I frequent has like 20 of them hanging on the walls. I want to go and trade-in my current, boring black & white one in towards one of the metal looking ones, but I'm afraid I'll get it and it won't be compatible with my particular games.

Haha. That's the worst...when you find something at goodwill and they are over charging for it.Lone Wanderer wrote:Last time I tried buying one at goodwill, it didn't have a price tag. I go to about 10 thrift stores a week and I use extras I get for spares or I build up a set and give it to a friend or kids in the family to get them started in retro gaming

It's what happens when a brief fad requires huge, clunky controllers. My local thrift store has piles of guitars and drums and stacks of DDR pads and steering wheel controllers. I've even seen Wii balance boards start to pop up. People just don't have space for those gigantic things when they are done with those games.AppleQueso wrote:It's what happens when Activision milks the franchise so hard that they have to announce its cancellation.markeconrad wrote:What's with the Guitar Hero guitars that every Goodwill within a 30 miles radius of me is flooded in?!
